This Question Is About:
What does it mean if only one diamond glows under a blacklight?
I have a 1/2 carat tw past present and future ring. While at a bar with my sister she noticed the middle stone of my ring glowed a very bright white/yellow color, but the other two diamonds did not. Is that normal?
What you witnessed is called fluorescence or a diamonds reaction to UV light. Two out of every three diamonds fluoresce, but just because it did not fluoresce does not mean it’s fake. Fluorescence is not a reliable test for authenticity.
