5) Instant Connection

When I first met my husband, we had an instant
connection. It took a while for us to date, but once we got together
things moved quickly. We knew we were meant for each other. I knew
a proposal was coming.
On the big day he picked me up at my apartment and would not tell me where we
were going. In the car, he played romantic songs and even sang to me at the red
lights. We got lunch to go and went to one of my favorite places, our local park.
We had a picnic. Then we played around in the parking lot with a remote control
car that I had just bought him for his birthday. We had fun trying not to hit
the parked cars! He was much better than me, of course.

Then he suggested we
walk around the lake.
It was a beautiful spring day and the air was fresh. We walked and talked for
awhile. When we came to my favorite bench, we sat down. I had always came to
that bench to sit with friends or think quietly. It is one of my favorite spots.
Just when I thought our night was perfect, he stood up. That’s when he got
down on one knee, with the water behind him and pledged his love
to me forever. It
was simple and romantic. He took me to a place I loved which was so thoughtful.
I could tell he had put every detail together just for me. He made me feel
special.

It was the most romantic day ever imagined!
