3) Scratch-off for Marriage

My Fiance is a huge fan of scratch off lotto, so I used that as part of my proposal. She had just finished her Masters Degree, and I told her we will celebrate by doing something special. Unbeknownst to her I went out and bought 7 scratch off lotto tickets and hid them down our block in canisters behind signs and in the mailbox and throughout our yard…etc.

I hid a 2 way radio in with the cereal cabinet. I called her from work and told her I would be coming home soon and she should find the walkie talkie I left her in the cabinet and turn it on. So when I got to the end of our street, I called her on the 2 way and said she should get in her car and go to the end of the street. She did so, and I proceeded to give her clues where all the 7 tickets were.

As she was searching I went into the house and got all the flowers and the ring ready. In the last canister she had to find a note with some more clues on it, which said..ok you found all the tickets, on the back i numbered them 1 – 7…so follow the clues below to figure out my word scramble. The clues would be something like…Take the 3 letter from the 2nd word off the 5th ticket and write it down….etc. So when she was done she had to unscramble MARRY ME.

Once she figured that out she came running in to find a path of flowers leading upstairs and around a corner to a Curio cabinet that had a Disney figurine I just purchased (the little guy with the pillow from Cinderella who holds the glass slipper) who was now holding the ring box. She came in screaming and shouting…I was hiding behind the corner as she picked up the box, it was empty, she screamed again and I came out from hiding with the ring in my hand and I dropped to my knee and proposed. She accepted. we are getting married 8-9-2003
