3) An Adventure in Paris

The first night I met kelly we ended up talking for hours on the beach about life, relationships and traveling. At one point he asked me what my favorite city in the world was. I told him Paris and explained that the most romantic place I had ever been and hope to visit one day with the man I love is the gardens right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Never again did I mention this to him. Well I guess his memory served him well and 2 years later he gave me the surprise of a lifetime.

When Kelly came to get me for dinner on Valentine’s Day he gave me a card which said "get ready for an adventure, you have 30 minutes to pack." Of course he wouldn’t tell me any details and kept his plans a secret. He even went through the trouble of taking my passport so I wouldn’t know we were leaving the country! When we got to the airport terminal and he told me that we were going to Paris!!! I just couldn’t believe it.

When we got to Paris Friday morning we spent the entire day having fun together. That night after an amazing dinner we decided to go for a walk to the Eiffel Tower. The sky was clear and the tower looked more beautiful than I had ever seen or imagined. It was then that Kelly set up his camera and tripod to take several pictures of us in front of the beautiful tower all lit up.

To my complete surprise during one of the pictures Kelly got down on one knee on proposed! It was so beautiful and the happiest moment of my life; one which we will never forget. We then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying our engagement bliss in Paris!  A fairy tale come true 🙂
