2) Someday When the Time is Right

At the time, I was 5 months pregnant, and it was the weekend before July 4th. My boyfriend thought it would be nice to take me out to a nice evening in Khema. Well, this was not an easy task. I had to leave work downtown, pick him up at his work work, and drive an hour to his house for him to change. By the time he was ready I was ready to go to bed. The night, so far was not going as planned.

His mom finally talked me into going, so we went. Phil had made reservations at the nicest restaurant in Khema, and totally pampered me with anything I wanted. (this never happens) When we were leaving the restaurant, Phil wanted to walk down the boardwalk to watch the fireworks at 9:00. Being 5 mo. pregnant, I was tired and ready for bed, but I let him drag me along. The boardwalk was packed with people, hardly any walking room.

As we were walking I kept saying to Philip that I felt weird because I felt like people were staring at me being pregnant without a wedding ring on. Phil, as usual, just comforted me with "Some day babe, when the time is right". We kept walking down to the end of the walk, with hundreds of people crowded around us, me holding our doggie bags. America the Beautiful was playing as the most beautiful fireworks were being displayed. All the sudden, Philip tells me to give him my togo box, so I did, wondering what was going on, but kept watching the fireworks, I start to hear people saying "AWW."

I am thinking there was a cute baby or something, then I look over and Philip is on one knee with a ring in his hand asking me to marry him. I am in such shock that I just stand there with my mouth to the floor, everyone started yelling "SO WHAT DO YOU SAY?" I of course said "yes," and hundreds of people clapped and cheered for us. Needless to say, I did not feel weird walking back down the board walk again. He is the love of my life, and i am so glad he is mine for the rest of my life.
