2) Roses & Poems

One Saturday night I thought I was going to dinner with my dad. When I arrived we ordered a beer and he starting asking me if I have seen the reality TV show the amazing race…. after a few minutes he informed me that I would be going on the amazing race that night in Annapolis, MD and at the end of the adventure awaits a wonderful surprise….. He then handed me a rose and a card with a poem about James (my fianc) and my favorite breakfast spot in Annapolis. When I got there, James parents were standing outside each with a rose and a new poem about our favorite park…. We went there on our second date (and I almost canceled on him for being late)!

When I arrived at the park I found my best friends fianc who gave me a rose and my best friend called me (she was out of state) and read my next poem about the Annapolis City Dock…… Off I went to find James brother and niece on the dock waiting to each give me a rose and my last clue. My last clue told me to meet James on the corner where we first met (blind date on Valentines Day)…. I went running up the street…..

When I arrived there stood my Prince….He handed me a printed poem and asked me to read aloud. As I got to the last line he got down on one knee and I read "Denise, Will you marry me?" I started crying, and he opened a little red box with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. I finally got out the word "yes" and gave him a huge hug and kiss to seal the deal. His brother was taking pictures of the wonderful proposal. All persons involved went to dinner to celebrate. It was the most magical Saturday night a girl could ever ask for!!!!
