When Christmas arrived, I purchased a stuffed Kangaroo. When Kathy opened the present, she thought, "How cute, a stuffed animal." I proceeded to tell Kathy to look in the pouch, that is where she found the airline ticket to Australia. After the excitement died down, she told me she would never be able to take the time off, that’s when I proceeded to tell her, "It is already taken care of!"
So, less than three months later, with my 401(k)-loan check in my hand, we flew to Australia. After a week in Australia, we were in the outback at Ayers rock, the largest monolith in the world. The day happened to be Kathy’s birthday. I told Kathy that I would make arrangements to get a helicopter for her birthday. As we flew over Ayers rock, I told the pilot over the headsets that I had an announcement to make… "Here we are, flying over the most famous rock in the world, and I would like to give you another rock that I hope you will treasure as much as this moment."
Well, Kathy and I were married this past May and we are still traveling.
