I never thought that it would have happened to me, but it did! My dream came true, and my life was just about to begin. It all started when I met my future husband at the local mini market, and he was buying some cheap ice cream. I proceeded to the checkout with my single Pepsi purchase when I dropped a quarter. As I started to bend down to retrieve the quarter, the young man did as well, and we ended up bumping heads. He said, "I am so sorry, here let me buy your soda for you." I said, "well since you bruised my head, then I guess that would be ok." So, after he had purchased my soda for me, he asked me for my phone number, and I consented by handing him a simple piece of paper that read Sara 555-7890. I was so excited because he said that he was going to call me the next day to set up a date.
The next day came, and I received a call from Adam. He wanted to know if I was up to going to a Kings game in Sacramento that following night, and I accepted because I really liked him. That following night he picked me up at my house because I gave him the address, and he showed up in a wonderful tuxedo with red roses for me. I was so happy that I cried out, "my night and shinning armor is finally in my midst." Of course I was just joking around with him, but I was very under dressed, so I went back into my bedroom after letting Adam in. I slipped into my dazzling pink cocktail dress that screamed I am sexy. When I walked down the stairs, Adam took one look at me and said, "mama mia, your are so fine." I began to blush with acceptance as we walked toward the chartered black limonene. Adam politely opened the door for me, and then we were off to the Kings game dressed up for success. I thought that we were a little over dressed, but Adam assured me that we had to be dressed up elegantly for the restaurant that we were going to attend afterwards.
The Kings game was fantastic, and they won by one single point. I loved spending time with my knew friend, and we both felt like it was love at first sight. Afterwards we went to a restaurant in Ripon called Papa Julianne’s, a very up scale five star restaurant. We were seated in the V.I.P section because Adam knew the owner like a brother. I ordered the claim dinner, and Adam order the lobster dish. We finished the meal off with a fine red wine from Gallo, and then we were off back home. As Adam was walking me to the door of my house, he asked me if I would be interested in attending dinner again with him the next night. I accepted because he was such a gentleman, and we made plans for the next night.
The next night Adam picked me up in his regular car, a 2005 Chevy Malibu, and it was red in color. We went to a local spot to park the car called "lover’s lane," and he pulled out some white wine and oysters. Then all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye all these beautiful fireworks came out of no where, and Adam pulled out a beautiful five carrot diamond ring, and said, "Sara, from the moment that I met you, I knew you were the one for me, will you marry me?" I immediately leaped for joy and said, "yes, yes, I will marry you." We were married that following Sunday in our local church, and it was truly love at first sight.
