2) "Please Don't Break the Other Leg"

My proposal starts out as a vacation to Mackanaw Island. We went on our motorcycle from just south of Chicago to Northern Michigan and I was in an Ankle cast. We got there and went to the island for the day. My soon to be fiance (I had no idea) wanted to get a bicycle to go for a ride around the island, as nothing is motorized. I told him he would have to do all the pedaling as I couldn’t with a cast on my leg.

Well we got on the bicycle and got to the 1/2 way point around the island and stopped for a while. I went down to the water to see how warm it was (he was thinking "please don’t break the other leg") when I turned around and sat on the bench that was there, I wasn’t paying attention and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in shock. I had no idea that he even was looking at rings. To say the least he is my soulmate and best friend. We have been married 10 yrs this year and many more to come.
