GIA certified?

Topic: The Diamond

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a GIA certified 1.2 carat diamond for an engagement ring with a D color, VS2 clarity and an ideal cut. How important is the fluorescence and how much should I expect to spend? Also, if I wanted to downgrade something to save some money, what would have the least impact to the naked eye? Thanks!!

Hi Lou,

Since GIA no longer guarantees their grades, get an FBA. Ideally no lfuorescence is fine. The “D” color is a little over kill! That can be dropped to a hard “G1″ and you will still have a magnifant rock! :)
